How to DIY Delicious Scandinavian Sandwich Cake
When we talk about cake, we usually think of a baked dessert that is full of the sweet ingredients: sugar, fondant, creams, fruits, chocolates, etc. Have you ever seen the unusual cake that is made of fresh baked bread and filled/decorated with smoked fish, tender seafood, meat, fresh vegetables, cheese, eggs or nuts? This special cake is called Smorgastarta, a Scandinavian cuisine dish that is popular in Sweden, Estonia and Finland. It’s actually similar to a sandwich but looks like a cake. Isn’t that cool? It’s also very delicious and perfect for parties, brunches, and a nice family meal.
